LILY!!!!

prd dlc

Anyone wondered what Miku would look like in PD with her Append Suit on? Well, now you don't have to imagine!

Crypton and Sega are releasing an Append Costume DLC for PD 2nd. The Costume will cost 300 yen.
Project diva 2nd will also be downloadable from the Playstation Store for a price of 5,400 yen.
The Project Diva Arcade costume will require you to have 300 VP Points. (Or something like that)

All three of those items will be released on August 31st, on Miku's third Birthday.

Popular kids' program mascot added to virtual singer lineup as Gachapoid At the Nico Nico Douga Daikaigi 2010 Summer: Egao no Chikara event, YAMAHA, Fuji TV Kids, and the Internet Co. Ltd. music and software company announced that they would release a new voice pack for the Vocaloid2 singing simulation softare. The pack will be based on the Gachapin character from Hirake! Ponkikki, a popular Fuji TV kids' program which ran from 1973 to 1993. The "Gachapoid" Gachapin x Vocaloid voice pack CD will be released on October 8 with a special green case and a free six-month subscription to Nico Nico Douga's premium paid service. Gachapin also has a second identity, "Gatchapin," which is the buck-toothed green dinosaur dressed up as a character from the 1972 Gatchaman anime. This version was later immortalized in figure form. Gachapin also made a cameo in the “Read My Mind” music video by the American rock band The Killers.

Numerous voices have been releasd for Vocaloid2, with Crypton Future Media's Hatsune Miku the most popular. In 2008 Internet Co., Ltd. announced the "Gackpoid" Vocaloid2 character sampled from actor/singer Gackt's voice, and in 2009 they released "Megpoid," using the voice of Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier's Ranka Lee).

Starting at the end of September, Nico Nico Douga will support HTML5, which will allow Apple's iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices to play the service's videos without special software. The official name and other details of Nico Nico Douga's next version will be announced at the Nico Nico Douga Daikaigi 2010 Fall event on October 28.

EARLY SAMPLE OF RIN APPEND

Apparently it's still in the experimental phase. I think what they're still working on (according to what I can glean from the tweets) is the amount of breathiness and that it sounds distinct from Miku's Sweet Append. I think the latter is something they need to work on. Compare for yourself. The first is Miku's Sweet Append, the second is Rin's.

Vocaloid Merchandise

First off, major lulz at the packaging of the BRS character charm that came with the August Issue of Hobby Japan. Take a Look.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImageThis is insanely small.

the black rock shooter anime will be available in DVD and Blu-Ray in two versions. The standard version is 2,000 yen on HobbySearch and includes BRS Blu-Ray and a 36 page color illustration book by Yuusuke Matsuo and Huke. The limited edition version is a bit more pricy at 4,000 yen, but comes with a nendoroid petite set of Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master in addition to what was listed above. Both versions will come with the 50 minute OVA (subtitles in 7 languages), a 30 second stop-motion promotional short, and 13 minutes video showing the making of the short.Posted ImageThe stop-motion short will contain a remix of the BRS song by Linkin Park's Joe Hahn. The video was apparently made in hollywood.

You can pre-order both versions at HobbySearch.

The Hatsune Miku Tony ver. by Max Factory was set out for pre-orders a week or two ago, and the wait is pretty long - January 2011. The 1/7 scale PVC figurine will cost a hefty 8,381 yen (About $96 USD), although if you get it at HobbySearch, you can get it at 15% off for 7,123 yen (About $81.50 USD). This doesn't include shipping, but do check it out if you're up for this.
